Åland United Behövs – For the Future of Football on Åland

Åland United is more than just a football team – it is a symbol of opportunities, dreams, and a future for Ålandic girls in elite football. To ensure the club's long-term development and strengthen women's football on Åland, we have launched the project ÅUB – Åland United Behövs.

Why is ÅUB needed?

Åland United competes in the highest Finnish women’s football league, Kansallinen Liiga, and has over the years developed many players who have taken the step to international top football. However, to continue fostering talent, competing at the elite level, and providing Ålandic girls with a clear path to a professional football career, stable financial resources are essential.

ÅUB is an initiative aimed at:

Strengthening the club’s financial foundation to ensure Åland United can continue competing at the highest level.
Providing young girls with a future in football by maintaining an elite team on Åland.
Developing women’s football both locally and nationally, giving more players the opportunity to pursue their passion.
